On January 28, 2026, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy arrived at JSS NEC “Uzexpocentre” as part of the global FIFA Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola. The tour is organized with the support of Coca-Cola, FIFA’s main sponsor and official partner, and gives fans a unique opportunity to see the legendary trophy in person.
Along with the trophy, Tashkent was visited by legendary footballer Marco Materazzi, a member of Italy’s 2006 FIFA World Cup–winning team, who accompanied the trophy as part of its official presentation in Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Otabek Umarov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Ravshan Irmatov, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Football Association; Kazumasa Mukae, General Director of Coca-Cola in Uzbekistan; and Furkan Aydın, General Director of Coca-Cola İçecek.
The visit of the FIFA World Cup Trophy to Uzbekistan holds special symbolic significance, as the national team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026 for the first time in the country’s history.
The event was held with the support of the Uzbekistan Football Association and aimed to promote the values of football that unite fans around the world.
