The Republic of Uzbekistan at the World EXPO 2010 Shanghai

World Expo 2010 has been begun its work on May,1 in Shanghai, China.
The pavilion of the Republic of Uzbekistan was the first among the other countries which opened its doors for the guests of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China on May,1.
Most visitors has begun their acquaintance with World Expo 2010 exactly from the pavilion of the Republic of Uzbekistan. There were a lot of people who wanted to be inside of the pavilion for half an hour. Taking into consideration of many visitors the organizers World Expo 2010 arranged special labyrinthine corridors in front of the pavilion.
More than 12 thousand people visited national pavilion at first day.
It is the 4th time when Uzbekistan participated at the World Expo - EXPO 1993 in Teijon, Êîrea; EXPO 2000 Hannover, Germany; EXPO 2005 Àichi, Japan.
More than 189 countries and more than 57 international organizations have registered to participate in the Shanghai World Expo, the largest ever. The area of the Expo 2010 covers 5.28 km2.
For 159 years of their existing the World Expo is holding in developing country as China at first time.
The opening ceremony was held in the evening of April 30, 2010, the President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao with the attendance of dozens of world leaders were participated as well. The ceremony consisted of an indoor and outdoor component. Andrea Bocelli -Italian tenor was among the performers in the indoor component. The event featured an outdoor display of fireworks, lasers, and dancing fountains after a performance by singers and dancers. It was more glamourous than on the Opening ceremony of the Olympic games in 2008.
President Hu Jintao declared the opening of the Shanghai World Expo in front of 8000 attendances: «The World Expo 2010 will become a gala event called on to promote to nations of all countries in the world, to share with happiness and friendship. It is the event which will serve as a bridge connecting China and other world».
The territory of EXPO-park opens daily for guests from 9am till 01.00 am, but the entrance is allowed till 21.00pm.
More than 70–100 million visitors are expected to visit the expo, the largest in history.
Total quantity of EXPO visitors reach 200 thousand per day it depends on weekend and workdays, and weather. More than 1 million 500 thousand people were visited EXPO during 10 days of its working.
90% of visitors are Chinese, 10% - tourists arrived from foreign countries including Europe and Asia as well.
The Pavilion of the Republic of Uzbekistan–one of the attended place in zone «À» - from 7 -14 thousand people per day.
Due to the attractive facade situated along excited pedestrian trace and substantial inside exposition of the pavilion attracts visitors more and more.
For the national exposition was rented separate standing pavilion with area about 1000 km2 at first time.
The slogan of Uzbekistan at the EXPO 2010 is “Uzbekistan. Crossing civilization”
Tradition and modernity are combined with exposition.
Peculiar structural open area of the hall with original decorative elements attract visitors and gives opportunity to look all views and to move free in the room as well as the decoration of the pavilion in modern style of «High-òech».
Due to camera, video, and text materials the visitors can easy acquaint with 6 thematic sets, which represent the country, which is the crossing of different civilizations and the heart of Central Asia.
The participation of Uzbekistan at the World EXPO-2010 will promote business relations not only with Chinese partners but representatives other countries, to consolidate an image of the country on the international sphere and formation of capital investment from many countries, especially from China.
